    Chinese E-Tailer Temu Under Scrutiny for Consumer Protection Violations

    Chinese online retailer Temu is under fire from EU consumer protection organizations for allegedly failing to safeguard consumers and employing manipulative practices. The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) has lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission, accusing Temu of not providing essential information about sellers on its platform and using tactics that encourage consumers to overspend. BEUC contends that Temu's practices violate the EU Digital Services Regulation and warrants an official investigation. In response, Temu stated it is tailoring its services to local customs and insists on compliance with regional laws. Since its entry into the EU market a year ago, Temu has rapidly grown, now engaging over 75 million users monthly. These trademarks encompass a broad array of medical and electromedical apparatus and equipment, specifically targeting CT scanners, along with their associated parts and fittings. The move signifies Siemens Healthineers' ongoing innovation and expansion within the medical imaging domain, reinforcing its commitment to advancing diagnostic technologies in the European market.
